This work takes the design of Mosset's circle paintings on canvas of the late 1960s as the basis for a wall mural.
The hand-painted black ring in centre of wall is obvious, 100% legible, even when viewed standing outside the
gallery. The donut functions as a hollow marker that directs attention to context, etc. With (a) zero to look at, the
exhibition is reduced to a meet n greet with one of the artists, here masquerading as ambassador of Critical
European Painting. Yet one cannot critique the language of European imperialism using the language of
imperialism. What is this show other than a low IQ homage to a no longer critical form?
